Job Description

Adjunct faculty supplement the full-time faculty by teaching courses which are necessary for the department but for which instructors may be lacking. The goal of this position is to facilitate our ability to meet the growing needs of the department in this area.

Adjunct instructors will be expected to teach courses in various areas. Current areas in need include: Painting, Graphic Design, Ceramics, and Foundations. Other opportunities may exist to teach various courses in studio art, digital photography, or art appreciation courses, depending on the department's scheduling and the instructor's skillset.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must satisfy one of the following requirements: 1) a master’s degree in the field/discipline in which they are teaching; 2) enrolled in a master's program with at least 18 hours of relevant coursework completed; 3) significant professional experience, subject to approval by the Provost.

Preferred Qualifications:

MFA degree with some teaching experience at the college level. Experience as a graduate teaching assistant may be acceptable
