Job Description

The Associate Director of Financial Aid, with a specialized focus on state and federal reporting, plays a critical role in ensuring that the institution is in compliance with all federal, state, and institutional financial aid regulations. This position is responsible for overseeing the preparation, submission, and analysis of state and federal financial aid data and reports, as well as managing the institution's participation in federal and state programs. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Experience with federal financial aid reporting tools (e.g. COD, NSLDS, FSA, etc.).
• Familiarity with federal Title IV programs, state grant programs, and financial aid compliance standards.
• Proficiency in financial aid software (e.g. PeopleSoft, Banner, Ellucian, Cognos) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and generate reports.
• Demonstrated understanding of state and federal financial aid reporting, including the FAFSA, FISAP, and IPEDS reporting.
• Experience working in a high-paced customer service environment.
• Master’s degree or equivalent education and work experience at a level equivalent to a Master’s degree. Demonstrated relevant experience in Financial Aid or related field, or equivalent education, training, and experience required.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to generate reports utilizing report writing tools.
